Meet The Chef
Boho Buttercream is the love manifestation of Anya Heidenberg. Kitchen experimentation began as a child, thankfully she had a mother who was willing to let her be creative without restrictions. As a teen, her first baking position was at Three Dog Bakery in Pasadena. Yes, the first official apprenticeship was making doggy cakes and biscuits! The next step was a real bakery. One weekend she was thrown into the frying pan when the bakery overbooked on a busy weekend. Soon she was baking and decorating wedding cakes.
Motherhood took over her kitchen so she scaled down to making treats for friends and her own children. After a Celiac's Disease diagnosis she overhauled her kitchen and baking to be 100% Gluten Free. Then she looked around her she realized there was a huge need for Gluten Free baking in the Central Valley. Boho Buttercream began small then quickly grew as word spread that there was a local place to get a Gluten Free, Dairy Free, or Vegan treat. |
